How would I set up vbpcap to pre-filter the traffic so only TCP packets are stored?
Right now, I have a filter set up after the packet is received in my application but I think a pre-filter would be much faster.

hi jdomnitz use vpSetParam PRM_SETFILTER,"filter type" api call this API call is included in the last vbpcap release (from 1.0) you can get a tutorial about the filter syntax on winpcap website: www.winpcap.org/docs/man/html/group__language.htmlregards lorenzo

Hi! I try use pre-filter syntax, without sucess.
I want that vbpcap filter ARP request from a range.
I use this:
arp[24:4]>=0xc0a80009 (ie: 192.168.0.9)
It works well with ethereal, but doesn't work with VBpapTest sample project (I mean, dump any ARP request for any IP)
Is it not possible?
thanx in advance
